Re: Free format
Tue, 2008-11-04 12:20 — ordnasWhich format do you have in mind? Let me see if I can create and then upload it.
It's available in some more formats here: http://blip.tv/file/1410075
Issues with OGG Theora
Tue, 2009-02-17 15:32 — ordnasI actually tried out exporting to OGG Theora from Final Cut Express. Unfortunately, the OGG exporter does not allow me to resize the video (from 1960x1080 to 640x360) for upload. AFAIK, there's a workaround for Final Cut Pro, where you can resize within Final Cut, but that does not work for Final Cut Express. Too bad, because blip.tv supports upload of OGG Theora. As I don't want to upgrade to Final Cut Pro yet, maybe someone can point me to a solution?
OGG Theora/Vorbis downloads now available
Tue, 2009-03-03 16:32 — ordnasThe only thing that really worked was to convert the .mov file exported from Final Cut Express to OGG Theora/Vorbis (.ogv) videos with ffmpeg2theora on Mac. Neither VLC (did not preserve aspect ratio) nor Simple Theora Encoder (changed aspect ratio, no audio) did the trick.
I am happy that we have .ogv downloads now available. I'd be even more happy if it were easier to create, i.e. as part of the process when exporting videos from Final Cut Express.
Thanks to Dave for helping me sort out the best approach.
Final Cut?
